Swimming Lessons

Hannah and I take swimming lessons every week. When I say lessons, I mean we play in the water together. The class mostly consists of singing songs and playing with/chasing after toys. Hannah really likes to eat the little yellow ducks.

More Hannah

I never knew eating could be a full contact sport until I watched our beautiful, elegant daughter eat. She goes after every piece of food with vigor and force. And as you can see, by the time she is done, she needs a good wash down.

Currently this is Hannah's favorite toy. She loves rolling the ball around, throwing it and then chasing after it, and of course eating it. Often it will roll away from her, so naturally she'll crawl after it. But when she gets to it, she doesn't quite grab it right, so it rolls away from her and the whole process begins again. What a cutie!

Here Hannah's trying to get Daddy's lunch. It won't be long before she can reach it.

Hannah, taking after her father already. And as you can see, nothing is safe on the coffee table any longer.

So the other day I was in the kitchen and all of a sudden I thought "where's Hannah?" I peek out of the gate and there she is, wedged in between the plant and the wall. Apparently it's a fun place to hang out...who knew. :-D

A Standing Hannah

So Hannah loves to stand. She uses whatever she can to help her: couches, the coffee table, the baby gate, my legs..sometimes she'll even let go, but typically she will wobble after not too long and quickly reach for support.

This is a video of Hannah walking. Warning: Objects & people may appear shorter and wider in video (but atleast she's not sideways).

Florida Vaction

This year Caleb and I thought it would be fun to take a vacation to some place warmer during January. We convinced Titus & Elizabeth & Family to come with us (not a hard sell since it was snowy and cold in Spokane as well). We had a great time and thus might have to make it a tradition.
So here are some pictures from our co-vacation.

Here we are on the beach. It wasn't super warm, but warm enough to go playing in the ocean and on the sand. And somehow I managed to limit Hannah to only a couple handfuls of sand to eat. :-D

This was the best way to keep Hannah from eating the sand.

Here's a goofy pictures of my nephew, Joe, playing in the sand.

Here's Els and Judah enjoying the beach

This is the sand castle that Titus & Joe built.

Here's Caleb...can you see him?

Maybe this picture will help you recognize him.

This is the special pancake that Caleb made for me one morning.

Starting off

I've decided to start a blog. The goal is to update it every week or so with pictures and fun thoughts. We'll see how it goes.

So I guess I"ll post some pictures to see if I can get this thing figured out.

This picture is the Hug family at Christmas.

This picture is daddy getting Hannah all riled up right before bed time. Somehow after so much excitement and tickling, she still manages to fall asleep like a champ.

Here's Hannah all bundled up and ready to go out in the cold Boston weather.

See if you can find the Hannah?

She is suppose to be sleeping. I had to tape the curtain to the wall so she couldn't pull it back all the way. I guess I need to use more tape. :-D

Here is a picture of Hannah helping me with Laundry the other week. She's really good at unloading the basket...we still need to work on the folding part. :)

This is what I see everytime I go into the kitchen. Hannah, no matter how much fun she is having elsewhere, will immediately crawl over to the kitchen as soon I go in there. Then she will stand up (as shown) and either whine or chew on the bars. Needless to say, I try not to spend too much time in the kitchen when she is awake.

Cousin Joe, Thanks for leaving me one of your precious blocks in Florida. Mommy found it the next morning and I've enjoyed chewing on it ever since. I will bring it back to you this summer when we visit you. Love Hannah
